Druid Sport Appointed as Norwegian Football Federation’s Commercial Representative for China and the Indian Subcontinent

Druid Sport has been appointed as an official commercial representative of the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) across mainland China and the Indian subcontinent — marking a significant moment for both organisations and strengthening Norway’s international sporting footprint.

The appointment follows a period of increased international visibility for Norwegian football. The men’s national team recently completed a successful qualifying campaign, recording eight victories and securing Norway’s first FIFA World Cup qualification in 28 years with a 4–1 win over Italy.

The partnership represents a major step in the NFF’s global commercial strategy. As the popularity of international football continues to surge throughout Asia, this agreement opens new pathways for brands in India and China to engage with one of Europe’s most exciting and fast-growing football nations.

Under the new arrangement, Druid Sport will lead the development and sale of regional sponsorship rights for Norway’s National Teams, offering companies the opportunity to connect with leading European talent and a distinctive footballing identity. With growing interest in Norway’s players and a strong calendar of international fixtures ahead in 2026, the commercial potential across both markets is considerable.

Asia’s football landscape has evolved rapidly in recent years. India’s audience for elite international football is expanding year on year, while China’s sports marketing ecosystem has become increasingly sophisticated, data-driven, and commercially ambitious. Together, the two regions represent audiences in the billions and a significant opportunity for brands seeking cultural relevance and long-term equity.

Speaking about the partnership, Druid Sport CEO Diarmuid Crowley said: “We are proud to partner with the NFF at a moment of growing enthusiasm for football across China and the Indian subcontinent. This collaboration positions us to unlock significant commercial value and bring Norway’s national teams closer to millions of fans.”

Runar Pahr Andresen, Chief Marketing Officer, NFF, also commented: “China and the Indian subcontinent are central to our international commercial strategy. Both markets offer scale, growing interest in international football and strong potential for long-term partnerships. Druid Sport’s experience, combined with its on-the-ground presence across the region, gives us a strong platform to build meaningful relationships with brands and to strengthen our connection with fans across these markets.”
